It's almost time for the annual Block Party!!! Ready your running shoes for the Mingleside Mile, prep your egg tossing skills, and have beach towels ready for the inflatable water slides (two this year!)
Thanks to everyone for all your feedback and help planning - we have lots of new activities for adults and kids of all ages, including a bike parade and scavenger hunt for younger kids, a dedicated water slide for older kids, and new games for everyone.
We can't wait to hang out with neighbors new and old, catch up and toast to the height of the summer! RSVP, food & volunteer signups below - contact Liz Adames with any questions and look forward to seeing you there!

9:30am NEW! Bike Parade at Orrington Track
A chance for younger kids to decorate and then ride around the track and show off their bikes!
9:30-11am Face painting
10:00am Mingleside Mile Fun Run
Come warm up for your day with a jog around the neighborhood - donuts and coffee provided
11am-4pm Slip & Slides
Two slides this year, one for kids 9 and under; one for kids 10 and up - bring your suits and towels! Parents, please stick around to provide supervision.
11am-12pm NEW! Scavenger Hunt
Geared towards younger kids - and older kids who want to help out!
12-1pm NEW! Hot Dog Lunch for Kids
Easy lunch after the scavenger hunt for neighborhood kids
1-4pm NEW! Bags & Games
Bags tournament, pickleball on the sports court, and setups for board/card/dice games
TBD Evanston Fire Truck
A hit every year, the Evanston FD will swing by when they can for the enjoyment and cooling off of all!
4:00pm Happy Hour
Come enjoy a summer cocktail and catch up with neighbors new and old!
4:30pm Games Galore
Musical chairs, egg toss, tug o’war and relays
5:30pm Potluck Dinner

We're asking everyone to chip in $15 per person. This will cover activities throughout the day, including games, bounce house, slip n slide, and adult beverages (beer & cocktails). We will do a potluck for dinner!
